It’s two days before Yom Kippur, about a week since the murderers of yeshiva students Naftali Fraenkel, Gil-Ad Shaer and Eyal Yifrah met their death at the hands of the IDF, and the city of Hebron shines.

Spotlights dash towards the sky from a concert stage set up in the Jewish Quarter. The Cave of the Patriarchs is painted with purple and red lights, and white beams twist as if in a kaleidoscope on the ancient stone walls.
